We read the oral health research and publish what it says — including findings that don't favor our own products.
Natural health has built a real research culture around supplements — databases, reviews, evidence hierarchies. Oral care never got the same treatment: the studies exist, but between the trials and the toothpaste aisle sits mostly marketing. Reverse Cavity Protocol closes that gap. Every review we publish is built from published studies, cited in full, linked to the source, and updated when the science moves. We also make a small line of oral care products. The two operations share a roof and nothing else.
What we do
What we don't
The shop funds the research, and the review team works independently of it — that's the whole model. No sponsors means no one to please; owning the products means the conflict of interest is singular, disclosed on every product module, and testable: check whether our reviews flatter what we sell. The hydroxyapatite review's limitations section — written about the key ingredient in our own toothpaste — is a good place to start.
Former science journalist. Writes most reviews; answers most correction emails personally.
Reviews every page before publication and still sees patients two days a week — the "see your dentist" lines are his.
Dental hygienist. Runs the study searches, maintains the citation database, and tracks new publications for updates.
The full methodology — search strategy, inclusion rules, phrasing policy, corrections process — is public.
